GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance roadmap

After you have decided to comply with the GDPR regulations. There are a few steps to take to be fully compliant with the regulation. GDPR compliance roadmap is a very broad one.

1. Appointment of a qualified data protection officer (DPO). The personnel will be charged with monitoring the data processing operations.

2. Seek GDPR compliance experts and legal advisers to analyze areas in your business that the GDPR applies to.

3. Update and if possible, completely redefine the privacy policy or cookie policy of your organization.

4. Your company’s data protection agreement (DPA) should be redefined.

5. Opt-in tools thought would help you in the compliance process should be created.

6. Your compliance must be communicated.

7. Everything needed to comply with the GDPR must be properly implemented. This includes of course changes to the internal procedures and processes.

8. Necessarily steps should be taken to address areas in your business that the GDPR would impact or have impacted.

9. All your products or services that have been impacted by GDPR must be changed or improved so that it would meet the GDPR requirements.

10. The last step on the GDPR compliance roadmap would be to test and verify your compliance with the GDPR.
